Somewhat well known due to it’s famous founder Jeff Daniels, the Purple Rose Theatre is a great evening out that slips under the radar for many in the greater Ann Arbor area. The Purple Rose’s mission is producing the New American Play and creating opportunities for Midwest theatre professionals.

The theatre runs a new show every few months, with performances Wednesday through Sunday. When you find a free night, do yourself a favor and head over to Chelsea to catch some great American theatre.
